In order to meet current skills a shortage in the employment market, the Australian Government has contracted Registered Training Organisations across Australia to offer eligible job seekers FREE training in nationally recognised vocational courses. Under the Productivity Places Program (PPP), areas of specific skill shortages have been identified and funded places provided in these areas. The current round of PPP funding has now been fully subscribed with only limited places available until July 2009. A further 56,000 places have been allocated to PPP for the 2008-09 financial year as part of the Federal Governments financial rescue package. These places include a limited number of Certificate IV and Certificate II qualifications. Places will be allocated at the beginning of each month so please get your application into us as soon as you can to have the best chance of gaining a place. All applicants will need to be referred to do training by their Employment Service Providers. For more information visit the DEEWR website.
